When You Believe (Believe Trilogy, book 1) by Jessica Barksdale Inclán

All in all, this author’s strengths are the ways she builds her characters and their relationships, and this makes for a lite paranormal and a charming, clean romance. Really interesting story, and I loved the interaction between Sayblee and Felix – the two main characters.

I recently attended a lecture by Deepak Chopra on how we are all energy and that message to some extent was in this book. A simple touch would erase all memories of the evening from Miranda’s mind. This was a good fantasy romance. The novel reads a lot like a contemporary romance with sweet moments in a Paris parfumerie, baguettes and candlelight, and suspicious goings-on next door.

It could put both hers and Sariel’s lives in danger, as there are others like Sariel who can read thoughts and have special powers, but choose to use them for evil purposes rather than good. I was disappointed when I found out, at least ibclan way through the book, that it was a trilogy. Miranda and Sariel are likable characters, and a good team as they fight for not only their own lives, but for humankind as well.

The characters were so easy to fall in love with and the story had a believable feel. Received in the mail, must have won from LT.

Sep 13, Cindy rated it liked it. Rachael rated it it was amazing Nov 05, This is a very good paranormal romantic suspense.

Unfortunately Inclan doesn’t quite make the cut. Goodreads helps you keep track of books you want to read. Magic aside, the real draw to this novel are Felix and Sayblee’s realistic flaws and their overcoming them through their very modern romance.

Feb 17, Angela rated it it was ok Shelves: About Jessica Barksdale Inclan. When I first began this book I expected a beach-read type of romance novel.

Jun 21, Dametra rated it it was amazing. I haven’t read the others, but from what I’ve read, each book is about a different brother.

Believe In Me

Was this truth or imagination. Long hair aside, he’s very sweet. May 15, Jennifer rated it really liked it. Magic that she is ashamed of. Even though this was the third book in the series, I found this to be a really great title.

I so loved the “world” that Jessica Inclan has come up with. However, I do plan on reading the first two books in this trilogy. Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t like coming in at the end of a tale Jun 19, Corinne Salone rated it really liked it.

Incllan my typical read but it was a gift and at the time I was beliee of books to read. When did they expand to include magical peoples from Africa, Asia, etc They first organized in Francebut all in all the mythos was sound even if sketchy.

When You Believe

Quain Dalzeil is moving his followers around the 7th Arrondissement in the Rive Gauche and Adalbert wants Croyant in the area to counter whatever Dalzeil has planned. I loved Miranda’s curious character and Sariel’s mysterious one. Aug 24, Maggie rated it really liked it. Jun 04, Kathleen Burket rated it really liked it.

I am not one of them, and after skipping half of the book, I am not inclined to read the sequel. He wanted to be in control of everything and the Croyent population were trying to defeat him because nothing good could come of him being in control.
