The author then takes a “teach-by-example” way to explain the functions and logic to program an Arduino and get it do things for you. Please try again later. Throughout the book the limitations and capabilities of Arduino are clearly mentioned and are very important. I would have thought that a book about microprocessors and physical computing would be putting the cart before the horse in this regard, but I was pleasantly surprised to arduuno out that the advice I’d been given was right – this is a nice way to learn about putting together circuits.

It is meant for an audience with no background in computer programming and hardware.

I was hoping that they would go into a little bit more depth, but they just gave analogies for every electrical concept. That is a piece I’d been missing for a while. Written by the co-founder of the Arduino project, with illustrations by Elisa Canducci, Getting Started ardduino Arduino gets you in on the fun!

Minimal treatment of the electronics principles, and limited coverage of electronic circuit inntroduccin. Impressive how the author simplifies technical details to the non-technical, a feat all engineers and scientists must have.

It’s quite brief and serves as an introduction to the world of Arduino. Useful introduction, but you can probably find as good online or in the beginning chapters of a more comprehensive book.

Getting Started with Arduino

I got myself an Arduino Kit sometime back and got a thick book with it to explain the working the board and some projects too. The only things really holding me back are 1 not really having time for a new hobby and 2 not really having space for sprawling electronics projects. However, people who have already worked with microcontrollers will find it to be quite easy. Quite good and interesting This book you can do both.

Coding sections are quite useful to quickly get up and running with Arduino’s programming language. What’d you need is: I was looking for a simple starter and found this. I saw intrkduccin couple Arduino compatible boards at Fry’s this week, and I’ve been debating buying one to fool around with it and to introduce my kids to the wonderful world of electronic prototyping on a breadboard.
