What Readers Are Saying What do you think? This has got to be one of my favorite romances! I mean, I loved reading about Hayden and Bryony and didn’t want it to end, I just feel like it didn’t have to be wrapped up so neatly.
The first third or so of the book had a lot of cruel violence that was hard for me to read. I’m sure this suffered from being the first book I read after The Outsidertoo. One more thought I have to end with because it’s a funny thought. I never felt the love Other books in this series. Apr 09, Ally rated it did not like it Shelves: Byrony starts to love the land she has been sent to, despite her hatred of its strength.
It was okay, but not as good as I’d hoped it would be. I like the fact Bryony gets to confront the asshole 1st husband and Hayden gets to beat the crap out of him!!!
Here, in her deubt novel, she brings to vivid life a part of the Regency period rarely dramatized. He was constantly patting himself on Just 3 stars for this one, unfortunately.
